Could we revisit Jonathan India as a 2B trade target? His value may have skyrocketed, but boy would his stat line fit in Seattle. He's not HR dependent. He gets on base, and he hits for average... with a high OPS for the idiots who think that's the most important factor in building a run-scoring offense. I think this idea has no chance to even get off the ground because the Reds probably wouldn't trade him as this point. Besides, Seattle's broken offensive philosophy probably would've harmed his career, so good for him... I'm just dreaming of a competent hitter in the lineup aside from Rojas and Raley.

Vlad will be coveted by 2 teams needing a 1st baseman. With the injury to Anthony Rizzo, the NYY is looking for 1st baseman. With Jose Abreu DFA’d, the Astros identified Vlad as top trade target. Let the trade wars begin. There will be teams overpaying for scraps of talent available. It is a sellers market and the teams selling, will hold out to very end to get the most prospects for their most valuable assets. That means the low hanging fruit could be traded for now.

maybe someone can explain to me how UW's #73 gets away w/ pushing the defensive lineman in the back whenever they get around him. his right arm was constantly used for that purpose throughout this and other games. sure, he got called for "holding" here and there but it never seemed to be connected to what looks like a modified block in the back. aside from that, UM fans shouldn't whine about the officiating when a # of false starts weren't called against UW that clearly should've been.

I think a 18 game schedule could work. Especially if they were to cut out some of the OTA’s. There’s no tacking, etc. And just cut out preseason games completely, maybe have 1 preseason game, then onto the regular season schedule! For years the preseason was basically for players who most likely aren’t going to make the 53 man roster! Starters barely played until maybe a quarter or 2 max in the final preseason game…Plus 18 games makes it an even schedule, with a 17 game schedule, you’re either going to have an extra home game or an additional away game. So at least in an 18 schedule, team’s have an even home/away season. Idk what they should do about International game’s? Especially the games in Germany for example. Seattle has to cross the entire US, then the Atlantic, then into Europe. The time change and jet lag is too much for a 1 week trip! If they could set it up that both teams had their bye’s the following week should be a good start…I’m super stoked about the new kickoff rule’s, because the NFL was missing out on exciting, explosive plays that literally can change games in 1 kickoff! Devon Hester made a great career returning kicks. I got tired of watching kicker’s kick off into the end zone, eliminating a chance for a player to make an explosive return! It’ll be interesting to see how this develops…#GoHawks

Imagine if Julio was in NYC playing? He would be boo'd out of the city. If you can't hang in Seattle then you can't fix it in ANY major big market MLB City. He exposed himself this year BADLY. We are HALF WAY THROUGH the season. This is FAR worse than a slump.

His at bats are horrendous

The problem was paying him like an MVP caliber player after only one season. Mentally he "made it" then declined over the next 2 seasons. Most great players have to wait 5-10 years to get that payday. The Mariners paying him big prematurely caused him to lose that hunger for a big deal cause it was a done deal already.

DK is gonna get paid BUT he has not been top tier like JJ or Chase. There is levels. Truthfully, DK is one level below the best receivers. He has to be aware of that. He’s not in the top 5. He’s ranked about 10-12th at his position. We NEED DK to show it. We believe in DK BUT until he shows that he on that highest level, Seattle can’t just fork out that kind of $$. Does DK deserve $30 plus million a year? Yes, I’d say that he does. BUT BUT BUT not until he proves it! We need 1500 yards and 20-25 touchdowns from DK. We need DK to take over games! We need 200yard receiving games. 3-4 touchdown games. We need DK to take it to that level. OR……..we gotta trade him. Let him go. SMH 🤦‍♂️. We would need 2 firsts and players for DK. Maybe 🤔 we could get a few pro-bowlers and more for DK. Can we replace him? No! We can definitely try. He appears to swing in a downward path most of the time. Can’t pull with lift that way, but he hits glancing blows to right field. Also swinging way to hard, as in out of control somewhat.

Ok, Julio was great the first two years. He declined substantially last year especially early. This year he has fallen off the planet. Whatever the Mariners are doing , STOP. He’s getting worse. You could have just left him alone and he might be better than he is now.
